Allison Denny and Shana Price opened Stems on Ashland Avenue in 2001. Since then, the team of floral designers have supplied an impressive list of corporate clients including Harpo Productions, InStyle Magazine and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Denny and Price also run a retail shop filled with seasonal flowers sold by the stem. They specialize in modern arrangements of colorful, large blooms that look good in minimal containers. Flowers and plants are very high quality and start around $4 a stem.

If you need flowers for a wedding or private event, Stems can work with you. Centerpieces are generally on the simple side, focusing on color and bloom rather than overstuffed arrangements.
