Charles Newhaven's wallpaper and fabric lines evoke the best of Irish country style: textured walls, cozy interiors, and classic patterns. Based in County Kildare, the designer set out to showcase "the wonderful designs in fabrics, wallpapers and furniture, that in Ireland were nearly buried by the masses of factory produced items." The colors remind us of a visit to County Kerry a few years ago, when we stayed in an old home wallpapered with patterns from the 1940s. It's easy to imagine sitting down to brown bread and tea in a kitchen decorated with Newhaven's stripes or floral patterns...

They're charming, but you'd have to be careful the rooms don't become too sweet (unless you like that look, of course).
