Perhaps most intriguing among Schumacher's latest wallcoverings is the Nest Collection. "Crafted entirely by hand using all natural feathers, these textured wallcoverings offer a sense of luxury and the beauty that can only come from nature. Humanely gathered and arranged by hand on non-woven paper backed panels, these twenty-four wallcoverings have been designed in a range of richly layered patterns that feature an array of luminous shades completely derived from nature." Thoughts on this? More for fall below:

I can't even begin to imagine what those feathered wall coverings cost. I'm guessing that it makes the $200 votive with faux matchstick a bargain though.

We shouldn't have to imagine, the post should tell us . . .

Sure, they're beautiful, but can't sing like birds in the wild. I say get out of the house and enjoy the real deal, and leave the birds alone. Humanely, I don't think so. Hat feathers, when they were in vogue, had a devastating impact on birds like snowy egrets. Then there was butterfly wing art. Why must we possess?

Gosh, if you're anti-possession, jacasi, this site will crush your spirit!

"Can you imagine the dust?" --Use a "feather duster"! Baw-ha-ha...
Kinda gives new meaning to "flocked" wallpaper!

Gorgeous, but that has to be prohibitively expensive even for those with money to burn.
With Schumacher being to the trade, I can't see AT posting the net price to designers. The cost to clients depends on what the designer charges.

They may say that they have been "humanely" gathered, but I'm sure that means "humanely" killed. It would vex me to look at a wall of dead birds every day. So sad.

The look is amazing. I would love to see a faux version of that. I have seen some amazing textures on wall paper, so why not one with this texture and the amazing color.
