Words and Symbols for the Home from TastySuite

11-26-08decal2.jpg

Cheap, simple, and sometimes pretty funny, these vinyl decals from Etsy shop TastySuite allow the surfaces in your home to communicate clearly. We love the text decals, especially the directives including "Have a seat" (for a spot over a chair) and "Get naked" (for the bathtub). Decals are water-resistant and available in 18 colors. Click below for a few examples...

They're cute, but I wouldn't put them in my home.

I love them. I got the "Hello." in yellow for my kitchen door entrance a few weeks ago and so far everyone who has come through has remarked how much they love it.

For only a few bucks I won't feel bad about removing it if I grow tired of having it there.

Is there a sticker for the front door that says "Get Lost"?

...a sticker for a mirror that says "I wouldn't wear that if I were you"?

We could put that "Have a Seat" sticker over the toilet in the Bathroom...

Cute, but a bit maddening, I think, to live with...

I think they're cute but the only ones I would use are the table settings. I have a plain wooden table and hate placemats and tablecloths so this might be just the thing to brighten up the kitchen.

That's it. Pushed the wall decal right over the edge. They've been done to a fare-the-well, and are done, over, so last week.

I like them. I could see them getting old after a bit, but since they're made to be temporary I think it might be worth a try.

I'd love to see one with "Hello, gorgeous" for a mirror. I had a mirror once where someone affixed that phrase from a label-maker, and it was a nice little pick-me-up for cranky mornings.

We just put some word art in our stairway. We didn't know what to put there that wouldn't clutter the, already full, walls. After many project ideas, large and small, we came up with this:

I think this says retail establishment more than it says home or art.

I don't need these. I'm ok with silence. I know how to use a chair. I know I'm not supposed to wear clothes in the shower. Letting me unlock my door with my key is the language my home uses to say hello. If other people come, I will serve as the translator.

I just think these are about as creepy as can be. It's ok to stop talking. I get that some people will just look at them and say they're pretty keen, light, and fun. I just picture people so alone they need the wall to say Goodnight to them.

I'm feeling this irresistible urge to put a sticky note that says "Who's there?" under the "knock knock" one.

I think these are cute and playful. They are also a lot more affordable than other decals I've seen.

The "Knock, Knock." and "Well, Hello." made me smile and I would love to answer my door to smiling people.
