Back in December AT:SF posted about the "Bird on a Wire" Love is Blind window shades. We've come across them again online, and really love the variety of color, pattern and boldness that these would bring to a window.
Actually, we could see a few of these looking lovely in an otherwise solid-colored and serene bedroom. Meant for pattern visibility both inside and out, these have the fun, graphic quality of retro wallpaper. Pictured here, "Blue Tree." More designs below the jump.

Oh, I love these. I wish there was a U.S. source. Anyone know of anything similar.
This is more of a DIY version, but I recently found this product and I'm planning to use it very soon. It's a roller shade that's made out of fusible fabric. So, you pick any fabric and iron it onto the shade and it fuses together.

Search for: Fabric Roller Shade Kit
just found a wider one as well:

the second result is 60" wide
yay!
Karine,
The blinds are simply beautiful! Thanks for the information!
Hi there
I'm Karine, Co-Founder & Director of www.bodieandfou.com where you saw these beautiful blinds.
Thanks for your comments! They have been very successful in the UK and will be featured in the April issue of Living Etc & Elle Decoration Norway so I just wanted to let you know that we ship around the World and a blind to the US minus VAT & including shipping costs will work out at about 121 USD.
Many thanks
Karine
On a recent episode of Surprise by Design on Discovery Home, the host printed an image large format onto a durable fabric- Cost was about $20 per shade--- Just pick up a cheap roller blind and remove the white shade to replace with your new image. It looked great!
These are very common in India. They are usually made at home. Sustainable design - and can change with the decor
