Q: I have a 2-year-old, and we live on the upper floor of a 1920's Spanish style duplex. We have casement windows. I've had a really hard time finding a way to childproof her windows, which are quite wide...in an attractive way and on a budget. I still want to be able to open them as we have no AC. Do you all have any suggestions?

Editor: Interesting conundrum! Readers, do you have casement windows at home that you've made more childproof?
