We're planning to redo one of our upstairs bathrooms. Once done it will be used mainly by the kids so we want to give it kid-friendly details but not overdo it. As part of the planning, I've been rounding up inspirational photos of childrens' bathrooms that are still adult-friendly.
1. Trough sink.
2. Locker room style as seen at Niriti.
3. Flora Kids bathroom line as seeon Edward Kinsella .
4. Little Whales at Walnut Wallpaper.
5. Trough sink. This appears to be the same bathroom as in number 1, but styled differently. Kids Rooms by Pottery Barn Kids.

OMG!! Love them all! But I'm so in love with that bathroom that has a tub and whale wallpaper! If I was a kid I wanted to spend all of my time in that tub :)) I used to wear swimsuits whenever my mom wanted to bath me!!!!
I love the trough sink -- I can only find it w/ a black base! http://www.plumbersurplus.com/Prod/Kohler-K-3200-0-Brockway-3-wash-sink-with-drillings-for-two-faucets-White/46673/Cat/65
Do you think it can be painted somehow?
i LOVE the low mirrors over each "station" at the trough sink - a great touch for now, and you can just ditch them as the kids grow
Kid-only bathrooms are one of my favorite daydreams when they pop up, the life these photos conjures up seems really fun - like a school or camp, in the fun way. I'm sure one of those rooms with a row of four beds is right down the hall.
Being cautious me in real life, I wouldn't rock in a low sink and tiny toilet for eternity. But I would have a ball staying in a house with one (or my daughter would, anyway). And it would be a big rambling white house with three stories and an attic! In piney woods with a lake somewhere warm!
@rachjmj - I know that sink! You could also find a trough sink off Craigslist or a local salvage yard, they show up regularly when I'm looking around. We have one off Freecycle. Some are in near-perfect condition, too! I have to share, the underside of these sinks isn't really visible a lot of the time, I think it's black so it just completes the fadeaway effect.
We have that kohler trough sink and absolutely love it. The black base is very easily painted!
What a dream....
I know a family with a kid's bathroom and they did tile up the entire wall...so smart.
Where can I purchase a sink like this? This would be perfect for my boys' (ages 6 and 7) bathroom.
What is the name of that paint?
