The new option allows for a "carpet tile" like installation, utilizing velro stickers to hold the super durable Chilewich vinyl tiles in place.
Because they are NOT traditional carpet, I think they would work well in rooms where "temporary" solutions are often hard to come by, such as kitchens, baths and entryways.
Stick them down to cover up any ugly or outdated tiles you are stuck living with and pull them up to reuse when it's time to move on to a new rental. They are priced by the foot and are available through authorized dealers and designers. Here is some additional info on the tile and installation options:
Chilewich's modular flooring product is called Plynyl Tile with BioFelt backing. It can be installed with conventional flooring adhesive or with Velcro Brand Hook Squares. The Velcro Brand Hook Square is a micro hook with a removable (silicone) pressure sensitive adhesive backing. The hook square is adhered to the floor and the hooks engage with the BioFelt backing.Product: Chilewich Floor Tiles Available: Now - just launched!
