Janel uses her Chinese garden stool as a bedside table, an idea we'd love to mimic. These classics prove that versatile objects don't have to be plain, but can incorporate old design traditions, bold patterns, high gloss, and a very, very particular shape. Outside or in, we love 'em. Wisteria offers a few versions of the garden stool for varied tastes - from subtle to bold. Details below:

The Chinese garden stools from Wisteria include light green ($129), classic and simple in pale blue, green or white ($129), blue and white "dynasty" stool ($189), and the "faraway" terra cotta intense blue/green glazed stools ($289).

FYI- for those of you in NYC- another option is Pearl River Mart- I just bought a blue and white one to use on our "deck" and it was $60. They have various sizes and colors, and they are significantly less expensive!
I heart Pearl River.
As these are weighty items, the shipping is proabably pricy.
Do any Los Angeles ATers know a good source for these locally? There are probably some good stores in Chinatown that are reasonably priced.
my mom ordered one from wisteria and it arrived in approx. 23984934 pieces = broken
