So, somewhat sneakily, this assignment serves two purposes. It's ostensibly about helping to hold yourself accountable for completing the Cure, but really, it's ultimately about realizing how good it is to share your home with people you care about, which will encourage you to keep on Curing long after this month is over. So, here goes, no excuses! It's simple. Set a date to entertain family or friends at your place over the holidays. You deserve a good time and a chance to show off your updated space. Let's make sure there is some fun scheduled into your (near) future.

Today's Assignment

Plan a Holiday Gathering, Chez YOU

The size and style of your get-together doesn't matter at all. If holiday cocktails with a friend or two sounds more up your alley than turkey for twenty, go for it (and vice versa, of course!). Maybe a cookie exchange or a classic holiday movie night is your style. Perhaps a Boxing Day brunch sounds fun. It's all good - this is about what will make you happy. It will definitely help you follow through on your room update, but beyond that, the act of hosting and sharing really is a wonderful way to reward yourself for doing the Cure.

Choose a date and time for a get-together at your home at some point during the upcoming holiday season. Make up a guest list and send out the invites - paper or electronic is fine, just make sure you get going on the invites TODAY and get them out ASAP. If you are already planning on hosting Thanksgiving, then you are all set and you can take today off!
