Another match up of identical apartments. Gray or Black.
where do those prints come from? i LOVE them!
They're old subway rolls. Pricey though. People overcharge for them in NYC but you can hopefully find one at a flea market.
I'm I'm seeing seeing double double -- and I like like them both.
Cool to see how a similar style expressed in two different homes.
@Kvaty flea market in st louis? haha ... something tells me i'm out of luck. boo!
I have an old SF bus roll banner in our front parlor. It has the "5 McAllister" to Playland- (the now defunct amusement park on the beach). I love my bit of SF history but am so sad that these are everywhere. I cringe a little seeing these in every decor. I feel a little bit "keep calm" about mine now & damn, it wasn't cheap & was a gift from my husband! I just HATE setting trends. ; )
why do both of them have those long black scrolls with names of various cities on them? weird that these two are up against each other.
@gochrisgo: I should have added that to my comment, but yeah I like them both as well.
@jessiann16 ha yeah probably out of luck. Ebay or Etsy have them. But they range from like 300-1000 $
I love the black scrolls! I saw these things at a showroom called Style de Vivre in the H.D. Butterball bakery building back home in L.A. and didn't grab 'em. Argh! Both of these teeny tiny spots are amazing!
Here is a thought...be original and find an old one you can call your own style. It's amazing how people rush out to pay up for the new version.....

As many have noted, the difference in prices between vintage and repro is quite large, so to some, easier said than done.
