Helping Hands: DIY Chore Blocks for Kids

There are lots of great ideas for chore charts out there, for toddlers, preschoolers, or even multiple kids. And while you might include your kids in discussions of what chores will go on the chart, these systems don't give kids a variety from day to day. That's why we like this clever idea: chore dice that can be rolled to determine the day's tasks.

Delia of Delia Creates came up with this fun solution for determining kids' duties. Each block includes chores that are appropriate for your kids' ages but also some elements of surprise: "roll again," or "free pass," or "your choice." While it doesn't give the kids complete freedom of choice, it does turn doing chores into a little game. And that can be fun for all!
