Chris Brown, founder of Refueled Magazine, shared his summer style with us:
SUN OR SHADE?: I'd say a equal balance of both. While surfing, the sun fuels you on the wave. While relaxing on a really hot summer day, nothing is better than grabbing a quick nap on a cot under the shade of a live oak.
THE COLOR OF SUMMER 2010: Indigo. Levis 501 jeans and white tees are a summer standard.
ALL TIME FAVORITE VACATION LOCATION: I grew up on the lake and beaches, but I just got back from Marfa, Texas and the sunsets on the mountains there are so rad. The huge stars at night are amazing. Really digging the desert vibe right now.
MOST REFRESHING SUMMERTIME DRINK: Three favorites right now. Slim cans of Bustelo Cool Café Con Leche in the morning, Topo Chico mineral water throughout the day and a lemongrass, ginger, thai basil vodka I infuse myself in the evenings.
PLANTED IN THE GARDEN THIS YEAR: Lemongrass and thai basil for the vodka.
ESSENTIAL SUMMER SONG FOR PARTY PLAYLIST: Anything from my Texas pals Amy Cook and Monahans. Ohio indie band Black Owls rocked Refueled magazine's summer issue release party recently.
BEST BOOK IN THE BEACHBAG: Jack Kerouac "On the Road" & "Big Sur".
To celebrate the start of Summer, Apartment Therapy has asked some of the most stylish people we know to answer a few survey questions on how they enjoy the season.
More to come throughout June & July!
