Christian Jackson uses subdued color to distill the narratives of fairy tales into their most iconic images. The minimalist result is beautiful and a little scary, much like the beloved stories themselves.
Find Jackson's posters at imagekind, where prices range from $25 for a 10.9x16" print to $195 for a 21.9x32" framed print, and catch up with the Chicago-based designer dad's latest projects, inspirations and aspirations at Square Inch Design.

These are great! I've been scared of wolves since I was little, so the Little Red Riding Hood poster gives me the chills, in a good way.
It took me a sec but now I am PMSL at the Wizard of Oz one! They are all gorgeous, without being twee
I don't get the Wizard Of Oz one. A heart, a brain and??? What does the third symbol represent?
A heart, a brain, and a hairy set of....yeah sorry I can't see anything but that there. But the others are absolutely beautiful! (It's supposed to be the lion's courage I'm just not sure how).
I think the Wizard of Oz one is hilarious, but definitely *NOT* appropriate for kids! :) (@mimee, you've never heard of "having b***s" as a synonym for bravery??)
Hahaha, hairy balls.
I am pretty sure the Wizard of Oz one is supposed to be the lions muzzle & jowls (remember his cheeks?) but thanks for spoiling it for me.
Yeah, I think is is the muzzle of the lion, but the b***s*** reference killed me. lol
