- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- Being on the second floor of a small 50's building in South Florida, there's tons of natural light pouring through. I love that it's a blank canvas, with small pops of color - filled with special items I've collected over the years.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- Try not to fill up the space with objects that do not have a purpose or meaning. Each item should have its own place. A clear room makes for a clear mind.
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- I tried to keep my books as close to the bed as possible, so that when I'm in bed relaxing, I can just reach over and pick up a good read. I also love having my desk positioned below a window so that I can see out while designing jewelry or sketching.

I LOVE this bed - where is it from? I don't like alot of the new lower beds but love the simplicity of this one. Also love the books on the wall next to the bed. How are these displayed. Great job!
I like this bed too and that white vase in the third picture looks like the Apartment Therapy (orange) symbol!
I love the bed too! Someone please source it!
Is that platform meant to have a larger mattress on it? I like the profile, but I would whack my shins on it all the time
love it!!! the bed is gorgeous, the sides are seating areas!!! but I wish there was a closet for clothes -although I love those hangers-. huge envy regarding sunlight but I'd need some window treatment for privacy.
sorry about my comment regarding window treatments: now I can see the blinds!! very well done.
Its very austere, and not my style at all, but I can appreciate the sensiblity of it.
Love the whole look of the bed--platform, blanket, pillows--and its position right under one window and looking toward the other. Plus the orange chair glows there nicely.
That dresser is beautiful! So much detail but so simple.
Great sunlight!
The bed's angles really add to the space. Highly functional for improvised seating. Gives me the sense of tranquility while smoothly pivoting to a possible flow of energy.
I'd love to find out about the bed too! Where'd you get it?
Very pretty and hooray for it being in Coral Gables!
i love your room. that is all.
IF you had NOTHING else but the bed in this room with a medium sized shaggy rug on the floor then I would LOVE this space, and it would be a retreat. Now....I don't know how I feel about the room on a whole, but boy do I looove that bed.
Yes, please a source for the bed. I am currently sleeping with my futon on the floor because I can't find a simple platform that I like. This bed is what I have been looking for.
Very cohesive. Nice.
Yes - where did you get the bed? Am looking for one just like this.
Love the bed! and lovely room. So happy this one is from Miami!
I adore your room, its bright restful, and uncluttered. I love your white desk, where is it from please?
Thanks for the great feedback, everyone. The bed was actually given to me from a friend of mine. Her brother drew up the design and had a local lumber yard produce it.
Hannah from Dublin - the white desk is from Ikea.
Ughhh... most disappointing thing ever... that I can't own that bed.
My boyfriend and I are working on building our own bed, I will definitely be modeling it after this one.
