- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love the charming character of my apartment, particularly the large windows and arched doorways. Although it is technically a studio, the kitchen is spacious and has a great nook to store all of my cooking equipment!
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Creating separate spaces for living and sleeping was most challenging. I wanted to be able to see the TV from my sofa and my bed and also highlight the windows which let in great light through most of the day. Also, when you have a small space, there is not tons of space to put knick knacks, so each accessory I selected was deliberate and means something special to me.

Well done! I'm admiring your furniture arrangement. Very inviting space!
Wonderful use of a bay window view!
Seems so nice and luminous!
I love the bed, where is it from? The use of the bay windows in pretty smart.
I adore your kitchen storage and organization. From the hanging fruit holder to the hanging wine glasses to the little shelfy thing over the sink (which I wish I could see better!), you've done a great job carving out places for things
Well done! It seems like a bit of a quirky layout, but what you've done seems perfect for the space!
Nicely arranges. I had the same porcelain tiles installed in my bathroom - they really add pizzazz.
I like the zebra print accent pieces lightly tossed throughout the apartment. Everything is arranged nicely & its very fresh and comfortable. Really like the kitchen organization.
I love the storage rack
Brilliant arrangement.
Outstanding!
Source for the storage rack?
Gorgeous. Simple and elegant. Love your bar stools and your sofa is to DIE for.
Love the way the seating area is arranged at an angle to the bay window. Very clever!
I like this very much. Very nice kitchen and bathroom!
Your chrome kitchen shelving is exactly what i have been looking for! can you tell me where you found it? thanks!
This is a beautiful home. Unfortunately, when I favorited, it was at 188 and it dropped to 187. Not good AT.
I love your kitchen. Very nice apartment.
Straighten the rugs!
I'm not favouriting anything anymore since the numbers drop as soon as I do :(
This, however, deserves it. Great use of a challenging space!
Love your space...have to say when I tried using shelving similar to yours for my kitchen area it made me crazy because everything rattled on it or didn't sit quite straight. I guess you don't have that problem.
i'd love to know where you got the kitchen rack that with the wine and pot/pan racks
Very nice...love the juxtaposition of the furniture! AH...the shelving!
I love the use of industrial shelving as kitchen storage... that will come in handy in NYC... I think I'm stealing that. I like home tours where I can actually afford to steal ideas! I think you found the best layout for this space.
I've had the metro style shelves (Container Store and/or restaurant supply) in my kitchens before. On the rattling, if you level the feet of the metal shelves that can help. You can also use those small slider feet to help absorb some shaking. And if all else fails I have backed large pieces of color coordinating mat board (cut to fit the entire shelf) backed with anti-slip shelf liner to 1. keep smaller items from falling through and 2. to reduce clinking. It was less expensive and offered more cushioning and color coordination options than the standard shelf liners available from retailers.
One organizing suggestion. Put the Kitchen Aid on the shelf with the Alcohol/bar goods. That they are a similar height will allow for the bottles to have more over head breathing room. Then adjust the height of the galvanized bins shelf at the bottom. this adjustment will allow for more overhead space for your scale and other items as well. Everything will be easier to get off the shelves. It's the beauty of adjustable shelves--and your bar will look great:)
I love that even in a studio, you chose a statement piece bed. Very nice.
Love the kitchen and bathroom!
Please come do my house!
So nicely laid out and organized. I'll bet your closets are breathtaking.
I love those kitchen stools. (In my eyes, they're kind of a classed-up version of old-school science lab stools.)
Anyone have a source for something similar?
