What I Love About My Small Home:
The light! I have eight large windows and because of the odd shape of my building, they face all four directions.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
Get inspiration everywhere. A slapstick comedy with a character hiding behind the drapes? Great idea! My vacuum, mop, jackets, belts and cords all hide behind floor-to-ceiling curtains now. (An especially useful trick if you don't have any closets!)

Keep it tidy by making it easy to put something away. My gym bag and favorite shoes are put away on a shelf by the door; my makeup lives in a shallow pretty box that I close when I finish using it; hooks for hanging jackets, towels, jewelry, etc.

Embrace the DIY spirit. If you can't find a solution to fit your space, make it! Every piece in my home has been custom-built, rebuilt, painted, restored, reupholstered or reimagined in some way. Definitely not all projects were as successful as I hoped, but it all feels like me.
