- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- Although it's low budget and lacking architectural details, my bedroom has a kind of luxurious feeling about it. I love the high ceilings and the calming color palette.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- No TV or workspace in the bedroom! It should be a place to calm down and forget the day. A muted colour palette can also help creating a relaxed atmosphere. Surround yourself only with things you really like and nothing that is connected with events and people you don't want to remember.
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- My bedroom is the place where I hide from the world and all its demands. It's my place for reading, drinking tea, writing in my diary and just lying on my bed, thinking. It's also the perfect place to spend time huddling together with my cats.

'everything in its place' - love such lifestyle =)
THIS, is a winner! Not dependent on the architectural bones of the room; Christine's BR is impressive & deserves a huge voteer response.
Christine, I'm wondering if you can tell me how you hung that plate above your bed? My boyfriend has one just like it (maybe a tad bigger), and we want to hang on his wall above his bed, but it's so heavy, and I'm not sure what kind of hardware to use?
I love the room!
Ohhh, the armoire! Massive envy on my part.
Is that a cat on top of the armoire? Cute!
I'm not a huge cat fan but I love that you have spaces for them...on top of the armoire is perfect! Lovely room as well.
Love the old table/desk with the black pottery and the old phone and book stand instead of a computer. Not sure about the tall pedestal table in the middle of the room--does it serve a particular purpose? Otherwise, very nice.
The first time I looked at these pix I thought "cluttered" but then I kept looking and liking more and more ... and then I clicked Favorite. Some beautiful things here (and the two cats of course). The armoire is killer! Would really like a better pic of that silver lamp to the right of the bed with the rectangular shade - are those little dancing mice??
Thank you! :-) Fortunately, the plate had a tiny hole, so I was able to nail it to the wall without damaging it. If that hadn't been the case, I probably would have tried to work with "invisible" strings - but that probably won't work with a very heavy plate. Maybe you could put it on a little, nearly invisible shelf?
Thank you all! I'm so happy that you like my bedroom! I indeed could have mentioned the purpose of the tall table in the middle of the room - it's my cat-hair-free, height-perfect place to fold my clothes before storing them away. And the lamp to the right of the bed - it's dancing cats. :-) I love it!
That back corner does seem cluttered to me (though clearly it's functional clutter), but the wardrobe and the bed and the mirror are such beautiful elements. This is great.
This is stunning! I'd definitely want this bedroom!
That armoire is amazing...made even better by the kitty perches on top of it. Love!
I love the color scheme. The giant mirror and the painted head board area. My favorite so far!
Your kitty matches your pillows. Perfect!
Absolutely stunning bedroom! I want that mirror!
Thanks so much for the idea! Unfortunately, his doesn't have a hole. But now you've made me wonder if perhaps I could find a drill bit that could drill a hole into it! :)
You're welcome. If the plate was not too expensive and is no antique, that's probably the easiest way!

Very striking. I could imagine an artist living in this space.
I usually prefer much more 'girly' decor but this is unusual and beautiful, especially as there are no architectural features as rmbnn stated.
Thank you all for your votes and your wonderful comments! :-) I'm still working on my bedroom, so maybe we'll all "meet" again during the next bedroom contest. ;-)
