Have you ever been so inspired by a design aesthetic that it made you rethink your own? This photo spread from the second issue of Rue Magazine makes me green with tinsel envy.…
The photo shoot took place in Palm Springs at the Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway and everything — from the tiny deer grazing on the coconut cake, to the ukulele slung carelessly under the tree — is just plain cool. Cheers to you Rue, I now want to live in a 60s mod estate and have ultra-cool golden hued cocktail parties!
For the full story (which by the way is a splendid feature on the Girls with Glasses), and more fabulous photos check out issue 2 of Rue Magazine.

Ha! Love it! I bought a white tree this year and decorated it with turquoise, lime green and hot pink, along with turquoise garland. And this weekend I found a hot pink tiny aluminum tree. Move both these trees into my 1930s cottage, add some pink and you've got my Christmas!
</small>that is not cool.
