We came across this bright studio inhabited by fashion designer Christopher Crawford and instantly noticed the dramatic tension between the dark modern wooden elements of the apartment and the cheery personal items that are peppered in throughout.

Crawford says his home is styled as though "retired grandma and grandpa from the southeast move into a luxury condo." His trick for storing all his belongings in a small studio is to find beautiful things that also have a storage capacity - like vintage suitcases and intricately carved boxes. A custom-built reclaimed wood room divider creates a private sleeping area while still letting light through to the back of the space. This is absolutely beautiful.
So beautiful. I love that wooden wall.
Where is that bed frame from? Are there better photos of it anywhere? I love it!
Where is the table from? It is beautiful.
Love the bedroom and what adorable pups.
Love the design of this small space. Is the only storage in the kitchenette area?

Gorgeous wooden wall divider!
Wow, is what I got to say! I love the mix of modern and traditional pieces! The wood wall and the floors add a lot of texture and depth. The chandelier and Lucite chair add a lot of glam and light to the space with their reflective qualities. Good Job!
I love the contrasting elements as well. That wood panel wall that hides the bed is gorgeous, and warms up the cooler, modern lines and textures in the room. Nice balance.
That wood room divider is awesome.
