High ceilings, dramatic rooms, period details and stained glass are just some of the benefits of living in a recently restored church. This one was recently restored by a couple in Kyloe, Northumberland with impressive results ...

Featured on Travelet, this church has been restored (instead of renovated, which would have been much cheaper) to period detail. While they have adapted the interior to provide comfortable living space, the outside has remained almost completely intact. See more photos at Travelet.

I don't see the appeal..maybe it's my catholic upbringing coming back to haunt me though.
Many times more cheaper? Rennovated?
I like it and I'm Catholic. Now about the cemetary right outside, that's creepy.
I love it, love it. Even with the cemetery outside.
The outside of the church is gorgeous! The stonework giving it a grounded, solid look/feeling. The stained glass in the bathroom is beautiful, and I love the giant archway in the living room. They've done nice job, the cemetery would however take some getting used to, but I’d be willing to give it a go! ;)
Love it!!! I didn't realize how much I wan't to live in a former church until I saw this. I love the windows, the light and the amount of space!
A fine looking home and -- dare I say it? yes I dare -- a far better use for this edifice than its original intended use.
Lovely church. Personally I would feel terrible using a consecrated place as a home. I know the thought of sanctuary could be applied but I would still feel like very odd indeed!
It is a lovely building though....
