012609_cillaLib.jpgApparently, it's common knowledge that Swedes love the color yellow--and not a muted, hazy yellow tone; but a bold, bright, retina-searing yellow that says, "Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!" This color, put in the wrong hands, can do some damage--but not these Swedes. Designers Cilla Ramnek and Carl Holtermann showed off their beautiful home last year in Elle Interiör (we just got a stack of back issues!), and we fell for their glossy yellow doors. Their comfortable style of mixing patterns, cheeky collections, and daring colors seem effortless. Take a look at a few more photos after the jump...

The large dining table with its collecting of mismatched chairs doubles as a spacious work studio. Ramnek and Holtermann own Studio Laila, a shop-gallery-showroom in Stockholm.

The den/library features shelves installed on a wall with a ladder, but also this funky plaid sofa piled with a mix of pillows and throw blankets...proving that mismatching can look great too.

The kitchen's cabinets are painted a soft blue and white shelves climb up the wall, showing off pretty dishes and cookbooks. (We're coveting those black goblets on the top shelf, by the way, if anyone knows where to get some of those).

The kitchen sink backsplash done in yellow, white, and navy. We didn't notice the baby wellies as dish brush holder until we posted the photo!

Their desk, located in the main room with the dining table. Perfect for sorting through mail, bills, writing notes, and little art projects. All the writing utensils are organized in cups and vases.
