Classroom and Family Calendar

Montessori Inspirations

Call me Martha, I love a good calendar! Tools that keep you organized and teach something to the kids on top of it.... Need I say more?

This particular calendar is a classroom calendar Counting Coconuts made for their homeschooled child. But I feel it would work in a regular home environment as well, since I see my son (of about the same age as Counting Coconuts' kid) asks for landmarks in his schedule. I particularly like seeing the number cards changing with the seasons and theme of the month as well as the tongues that show when is "today", "yesterday", and "tomorrow".

Of course, in our house, moon phases are highly praised (is it a 5-year-old thing?), and knowing the exact date validates him. So I'm very thankful to have found this post, as we are a Montessori family and our kids are used to having work times even at home. I feel my son and I will be making a version of this calendar tonight.
