That doesn't look very ergonomic. He wouldn't have any leg room if he sat facing the monitors. If he faces the keyboard tray, he'll always be looking to the right. Also, there are very good cable management options available for Ikea's Galant series—better than hiding the wires behind file cabinets.

yeah, he'd be much better off moving both cabinets to the left, and putting the keyboard on the desktop.

yea sadly theres a lot wrong with that setup, basic ergonomics seems to have been completely ignored. the drawers are in the wrong place entirely, blocking any comfortable seating position in front of the screen.

even the subwoofer placement is wrong, subwoofers go on the ground only, shelving a subwoofer basically reduces its bass output, making it less efficient, the surface it sits on should be as solid as possible, and as close to the wall as possible.

i'm not sure i'm impressed, these aren't mods so much as simple consumer purchases, some being rather questionable. looks more like the standard room of a spoiled teenager.

not to mention he needs to move his keyboard drawer and remount in where the desk curves. moving the monitors would be a bad idea because of the over bright backlighting that would happen so near a window. so it has to be the keyboard that moves.

people.. he's 15!!!! Give him some props here...
Providing him with suggestions is one thing, but let's remember the nutty ways we pushed our use of space when we were that age.

I'm impressed a 15 year old came up with his share of the money. When my son was 15, I was lucky if he had enough cash to buy his own gum.

It's a great room with lots of space and a wonderful modern style. Clean and sleek. Brilliant job!

it just all seems so particular and fussy. Get a basic (big) desk and your life will be so much easier.

As others have said, the keyboard and monitors are completely wrong. WHat is the mousepad doing way over there Don't "stage" your desk, show it like you use it.

Cables are all haphazard around the sub area.

2 ipods? Yeah i have 2 on my desk, but i also have a wife...

The last time this was featured I thought it was OK, but again? Come on? Are you so short for posts that you are featuring this teenager's bedroom multiple times, when it doesn't even have any real need to be on here, it is just a desk area, and poorly organized.

Next, the last time i thought he came on here and said how he had paid for everything, that is good, he is a 15 year old, he should. HOWEVER, his mom ponying up half of the money (still around $800, wtf), that is just insane.

For the person above that said their kid barely had money for gum when they were 15... When you are 15 you should get a job and learn about money. If you learn how to treat money when you are young, you will be more financially stable as an adult.

I simply have a Paper round earning £16 a week and then i have just saved over the years and my collection of gadgets has gradually increased in size.
I have just gone 15, as of 12th of Feb. and got the Mx revolution out of my birthday money, so as you can imagine, i dont get alot for my birthdays so i cant blame my collection on the birthdays.
