Do you feel lucky, Evofurniture? The online furniture retailer is being sued by Clint Eastwood for using his name to sell their line of entertainment centers and chairs. Descriptions include: "When you're invited to a person's home, you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly. When visitors come to your home, the Clint 47 Entertainment Center makes your family room alone look like you live in a perfect world of a million dollar baby."
In other news, Gehry finishes his first building in Hong Kong and Brooklyn gets a 100,000 square foot roof garden. Check out the headlines after the jump.

Shaw's Original Fir...
So maybe they can keep the "Clint" name and change all of the references to Clint Howard movies?
Or maybe he can get over himself for 5 minutes and move on.
Celebrities have the right to license their images, voices, names and basically make a living off of their reputations. If another company wants to make money off of that reputation, then they have to pay for it. Associating this line of furniture with Clint in an obvious way without paying for it or getting his permission is like theft. I don't think that Clint has a huge ego that he needs to "get over". I think that he should protect his rights like anyone would do in a similar situation. Evofurniture used someone for PR who clearly doesn't know the law, is what happened here.
I agree with MSPICKY. You wouldn't want your name associated with a project or piece of furniture you knew nothing about either. If the furniture wasn't up to par, his reputation could be damaged when he had nothing to do with the product. It's his right to protect himself.
YOU GO MSPICKY AND MRSBERG!! COMPLETELY AGREE!
Clint doesn't have a huge ego since when? I think his ego is bigger than the solar system.
i saw this on E! News (guilty lunch pleasure) and they followed it up with.. " Check out Clint's new reality show on E!...blah blah whatever it's called" ....
so basically, I see this as a publicity stunt. I doubt he cares if furniture shares his name.
