i've been in to take a look at elfa's sale...since we're renovating the bedrooms and redoing all the closets (yay!).

but DAMN, even on sale these things are insanely expensive.

so i've looked at elfa, ikea's versions of the same, regular ole standards and brackets, easyclosets.com - you name it! why is this stuff so complicated and expensive?? i can barely wrap my brain around The Closet Problem, which we're ignoring until the rooms are done done.

I went to CS last weekend for shoe racks. They were all crap! I was so disapointed. They were not sturdy or solid, or anything. I feel like I have looked at all the usual places (Walmart, Target, etc.). Am I missing some fab quality, mid range place?

I just organized my closet with a closetmaid kit from home depot. i got the one with a track system, which is somewhat customizable. it was slightly complicated to put up, but so far it's working great.

I just did my closet in ELFA, and I love it! It is a bit of an investment, but well worth it. Every little bit of space is used and it makes staying organized so much easier.
