Classics for a reason. A book may not be the most exciting present they'll open Christmas morning, but it's one they'll derive pleasure from for years.

Beautiful. I'm inspired to try buying a used copy at a local store and paint a new cover on it, or wrap it in a drawing.
i noticed those in the anthropologie catalog this weekend! i want "wind in the willows" . . . but i'm not going to order it. my boys are a little young, and i'm pretty good at finding vintage copies of classic books. that being said, these are super beautiful, and if i had the perfect person to give one (or more) to - i would!
I've also seen them on Amazon for about $5 less. grown up novels, too.
I've actually had a terrible time finding THIS cover design on amazon. I desperately want to wish list them, but anthro doesn't list the ISBN.
Anybody?
Just wanted to pass along some information. Fell in love with these books but was having a hard time finding them, so I’ve been doing a lot of internet detective work. I found six of them on the anthropologie website, but no ISBNs are listed there. I then came across the titles on the penguin australia website. And the ISBNs were listed! Couldn’t pull them up on Amazon though. HOWEVER, they do come up on the Canada Amazon (amazon.ca) with a future release date of Jan 25, 2011. Hoping the US is soon to follow.
In additional news, much to my delight! I just accidentally came across two more titles in the series that I hadn’t seen anywhere else! Black Beauty and The Call of the Wild. Here is the link to the Puffin Australia site where I found them all: http://www.puffin.com.au/search/products/clothbound%20classic
Liv404! This is awesome news! Thanks for being a detective!
They have already been released in the US actually, though under Penguin's Puffin label. If you search Amazon.com for the title & "puffin classics" it should come right up. They're $11.55 each. The additional two Australian releases are now available in the US too—The Call of the Wild and Black Beauty. Oddly enough, though, I cannot find The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn anywhere except Amazon UK (and of course, for about twice the cost).
