What do Madonna, Beyonce, Courtney Cox and Christina Ricci have in common? They all own pieces by artist Patrick McCarthy and his furniture designing daughter, Dante. Together, they are known as Cloud Noir.
Artist Patrick McCarthy has been making and selling art since 1968. By his own estimate he has created over 10,700 paintings. Since 2010, Patrick has been sharing a storefront space with his daughter, Dante McCarthy. In this joint venture, called Cloud Noir, they offer Patrick's pop-inspired paintings alongside Dante's handcrafted tables.
When we got a tour of Dante's Charming Spanish Flat last year, many of the comments were praising the tables ‐ and of course those are her tables throughout her apartment, as well as her father's artwork. The tables are made from reclaimed, salvaged and weathered wood and can be customized by color and size.
