Finding a balance between a stylish room for a child that suits your own taste, but doesn't stifle theirs is a challenge. How do you create a space that gives them room to express themselves that still feels harmonious with the rest of your home? At first glance Kate's recently made over room for her son looks like a mother's magazine-worthy dream room, but look closer and you'll see that the room is infused with her son's interests and personality.
LEGO, Star Wars, motorbikes, cars - pretty typical boy stuff, but incorporated into the room in a way that honors who Kate's son is at the moment and who he will become. Kate says it best,"I wanted it to be a bright clean happy place, one where he could adventure and explore. A room where he could not only display everything he loves right this very moment, but one that would also adapt to his changing interests over time."
