As we've said before, we use a set of highball glasses daily in our home. They're comfortable, clean-lined and just perfect for us. Ours are clear glass, nothing special at all. But take a look at these striking cobalt blue highball glasses...
The glasses are sold by Novica, in association with National Geographic. Made by Javier and Efrén, they are blown-glass, with tiny bubble texture rising in the beautiful cobalt glass. The set sells for $45 for six glasses.

I've read places (and I agree) that food & drink does not look appetizing when served in blue dishes. With a few exceptions blue isn't really a food color so I think a lot of people might be subconsciously turned off by food in blue serve ware. I've also read you're not "supposed" to paint dining rooms blue for similar reasons. Might be a good appetite suppressant though! :-)
Having said all that, the glasses are pretty. Might be nice for water, or as simple vases.
I had blue dishes and I can tell you right now, Griffin is right. Blue is NOT a good color with food. It might be fine for drinks, although I suspect fruit juices would look really odd in these.
I'd love to use these as a vase or as candle holders.
I've just posted some really beautiful blown glass in case you want to take a peek.........
