When we saw the tour of Doris Sochaczewski's home decor boutique on the Belle Maison blog, we knew we had to share it during Apartment Therapy's month of color. The shop is that perfect blend of white with colorful accents.
We love that silver-painted Thonet chair in the first photo. If you enjoy the color in the tour as much as we did, go on to check out the shop's website, Coisas da Doris.
Be sure to see Belle Maison's tour of Sochaczewski's apartment, too. It also takes advantage of white in the full Brazilian sun, but appears to use more constraint when it comes to color.

Hideous
fantastic! love it
jwolson, your comment made me laugh! Hilarious! I love this though! Isn't it great that the world is full of different ideas and tastes. It sure makes for an interesting world.
I don't think it's hideous, but it doesn't really feel pulled-together for me. The tab-top curtains, butterfly wall decor, straggling plants, plastic bucket, gaudy metallic paint, and awkward lamp just cheapen the overall effect.
it's a boutique, slowdown, not home
This space was useless and I needed to atract clients in to it, as it was outside and pleasent.
So we decided to make something colourful with plants and showing that different things put together can look good, without prejudice of materials and colours.
And it worked!! people are going out there.
That's was the purpose.
thanks for all the comments.
Best wishes
Doris Sochaczewski
