What if you could clean your clothes thoroughly without using the hot water cycles on your washing machine? Well Electrolux came up with a washing machine that does exactly that, cleaning all of your clothes without ever needing any hot water.
The AEG-Electrolux Super Eco (L64850LE) is one incredible washing machine. It will deliver huge energy savings to its owners. The Super Eco saves you 83% electricity when compared to a cycle that uses 104ºF water and 72% when using a 86ºF cycle.
This is done thanks to the super eco cycle that has been developed and cold-activated washing powders as well as solutions, such as Ariel Excel Gel. There is a lot of science involved. This special powder uses a combination of enzymes that allows for a great cleaning results even at very low temperatures. This means that the Super Eco uses only 11 gallons of water compared to 13 gallons in the eco wash setting.
That's not all, this machine comes with a host of different settings and features. The bottom line is that you won't need to heat the water to clean your clothes. This will reap significant savings at the end of the year for a family. This washing machine is available from Electrolux for $840. Or you could just keep your washing machine and use Ariel Excel Gel instead. Now that will save you hundreds of dollars.

This sounds a bit like a gimmick. I've been washing my clothes for years on cold. I have never heard a complaint, and I'm pretty sure my clothes look sharp longer for it.

Darn, I thought you were going to say that if we call now, you'll throw in a year's supply of Ariel Excel Gel, AND a subscription to Newsweek -- absolutely free!!!!!! -- when we make just 42 easy payments of $19.99 each.
My mistake.
I always wash my clothes on cold, and I have a super old washer too.Now if it was a dryer that worked on cold, that would be awesome.
How is it with dust mites?
The reviews of the gel on their own site aren't very good. I'll stick with 7th Generation and cold water. Cardboard box versus plastic container, adequate cleaning, scent free available.
I like the idea of cleaner clothing with cold water, but I'm not sold on this gel...
For a company that keeps talking about how environmentally-friendly they are, I'd like to see an ingredient list on the gel! I wonder what sort of weird toxic chemicals are in there.
Er, it's not $840, it's £520. By which I mean, it's not available in the US...
