The most obvious way to pull this off at home is to choose leather upholstery and go for glossy white with your accent furniture (side table or coffee table, for instance). But if you're willing to go bold, glossy white walls and flooring paired with leather furniture can also be gorgeous.
We think this combo is most successful when the rest of the room is kept simple, mostly white or neutral with a few pops of color. Working in some more organic textures, like a knit throw or a felt or rough-pile rug, will also help to soften the look.
What do you think? Is this a combination you could live with?

I love the placement of the light in the first picture...
Owner: Come and sit in the Donk Ow chair.
Guest: Donk Ow. Is that a Korean designer?
Owner: Just sit.
Guest: *donk* Ow!
Owner: Hee hee hee!
hi, this is lovely, thanks for posting!
where may i get that extra large bulb featured in the first photograph?
thanks!
Yes, light bulb info please? Want one.
I really like this idea. I have an espresso leather sofa and loveseat set so I think this color combo would work particularly well in my apartment. However I'd like to add some color so it doesn't look too drab.
@lepetitdespote and bb99: It looks like Muuto E27. Nud Collection has similar lamps too.
Tanxalot. :-)
I love working with vintage cognac leather pieces; they add a lot of texture to a room. Love the first pic.
@lepetitdespote and bb99: You can find the large bulbs (G-40) and the sockets (named the Indy Pendant) at Barn Light Electric. www.barnlightelectric.com
thank you, solvi & sreis_13!
Does anyone know about the sofa in the 3rd picture? It's such a cool modern chesterfield!
