October 29th, 2005 - At the Union Square Farmers' Market.

The market was packed at 11am, especially with fall vegetables in deeper fall colors. With Halloween parties starting that night, everyone was nevertheless stocking up with flowers and food.

This is why I love reading AT! Thanks for the delicious colors.
Thank you for sharing. When I lived in NYC, I went to the Union Square market every week (Thursdays, I think it was back then) and these photos bring back such wonderful autumn memories.
Sigh.
Beautiful and inspiring photos...
and I love brussel sprouts.
I love Fall so much it makes me even like vegetables.
ps, Janel: I have an AMAZING recipe for Brussel Sprouts Chiffonade...

Gladly! Will get it later and send it to you. It came from Country Living (or Country Home) a few years back and is now a Thanksgiving star attraction. And sturdy enough to be a vegetarian main course... swapping out chicken stock for vegetable stock, of course. We only made that mistake ONCE. ;)
