If you really want to make a bold statement you might choose to put red and pink on large planes in your space, like walls, floors and furniture, but you don’t have to go that bold to make an impact. In fact, we rather prefer when pink and red are used together as accent colors. Seeing pops of red and pink in art, accessories and soft textures gives them a place to shine without overwhelming, and allows for the use of other colors to ground a space. We think these ten spaces we spotted in various places on the internet have a perfect balance of bold and subtle with their pink and red:

Shaw's Original Fir...
Mostly YUCK. I like the House Beautiful shot best, however, because the pink is blue enough and the red is orange enough. Not my favorite combo of colors. Pink is SO difficult, and just adding white to your favorite red is NOT the answer. Interesting post, however. Cheers!
Love the main photo (#1). Personally, I find it hard to combine/mix colors that are similar in hue (?), e.g., pink and red. I love red and orange combo, and I've seen it done to great effect in magazines. Not in my house, though.
Why on earth do people making comments on this website show this intense aversion to pink and insist is is SO difficult. It isn't. Maybe it is just not to your taste. David Hicks, who has been accorded almost God like status, always used strong colors including pink.
BTW, Jamie Drake's decorating style my not be to the taste of a lot of people but you have to admit he has an incredible eye for color and for mixing different colors.
I have always like pink & red together, it is less girly than just pink.
Not a fan of most of these examples though, but I do kind of like #3, and I like #6 a lot. Red & pink look so happy mixed with other colorful elements.
Well, my new kitchen counters are bubble-gum pink against black and white cabinets and tile.
I think it looks tres cool.
