I don't know... they're a little bit TOO cold. My new bedroom was painted purple (a warm purple, even!), but with my black furniture, it just looked cold. I ended up doing a yellow feature wall just to add some warmth. Purple and black is fine if you have something to warm it up, otherwise it just feels uninviting.
The couch in the first photo is absolutely gorgeous. Its so warm and inviting that it balances the cool colors nicely.
(Honestly, it's one of the most beautiful objects I've ever seen.)
