We love Dior Gray, and we love it even more with pink orchids. Pale rose and metallic gray were popular during the 80s, and the color combo has been updated for the current decade with deeper pink and more subtle neutrals. oo those chairs in the photo from Romo Fabric site are soo pretty. Nice color inspiration. Thx
The bathroom with the marble vanity is from a house featured a few years ago in Domino. Last summer I painted my office Benjamin Moore's Charming Pink, the suggested similar color -- not an exact match but close, since the original was custom blended.
It's a bright, cheery yet mellowing color. Even my husband likes it. I've touted pink to many skeptics who still think of it as a "girl" color. Wrong, since it's all in the accessories.
Love that mirror against the soft pink in the bathroom. Very stunning! I had pink in my living room in the 80's... the color was called "shrimp shell pink". I loved it so much that I'll never forget the name!
How timely. Just as I'm trying to finish up my small bath for a deadline!
My main materials are gray in color--carrera marble shower walls, white and gray hex marble shower floor and charcoal honed granite floor tiles. Fixtures are chrome and vanity is bamboo.
On the one hand, I like the monochrome gray look. But i keep leaning towards a vibrant color like green or even pink! Is the particular pink above identified?

gray and gray? gray and white? gray and pink? gray and green...?
Repost??? Frustrating.
Pink and gray were my college colors and although that's not why I chose the school, I was always glad they were because it's a fantastic combo and one of my favorites.
I think I painted my dining room the wrong pink, though. I wanted a soft hue that was a little closer to the apricot end of the pink range than to the lilac end, but still definitely pink. I think I went too far towards apricot. The color is BM Queen Anne Pink. The adjoining room is Silver Fox, and I want to pull some gray into the dining room without it going beige or taupe on me. I think the pink might be too yellow to manage this at all.
Pink and gray look pretty together, but good luck getting that to fly if you live with a straight man.
I had a gray and pink pair of tennis shoes about twelve years ago, and though they're long gone, I've never forgotten them! Sounds corny, but it was the sweetest color combo. So of course I'm loving this for a home, but I have to agree with darcitananda - my husband would never go for pink. He's a carpenter with an appreciation for taxidermy. I stay away from pink, and he promises there will be no animal heads on my walls! We do, however, intend to paint our bedroom a charcoal color, and I'll be slipping brighter colors in as accents, one of which will be azalea.
@ art: I would go with a grayish white and keep it monochromatic and simple. Don't do bold colors, I feel you'll lose the elegance of the marble and the dark floor.
Gray and Pink combo is beautiful! Maybe bring the pink into a room with pillows. Is "Dior Gray" a benjamin moore color? I'm not seeing it in my paint wheel? Sounds fabulous though.
Pink and gray is always a great color combination. It can be very soft and of European style when using paler pink and gray. I always encourage using color in design vs. sticking to neutral tones.
