We love this photo from Maria's Oh So You Bungalow - it has that crisp, clean balance of red and blue that's harder than it looks to pull off. By balancing a deep red-orange with a light greenish blue you can make a bold statement. This color combo is high-contrast and strong, so we usually like it best in small doses, although every once in a while we'll see it in an entire room that just rocks. definitely a favourite
I have always loved this color combo but never had a "canvas" before. Now I do - I did this color combo for my baby son's room and use it often with his outfits (baby blue onesie plus red pants, pretty darn cute). I guess I was inspired by Nacho Libre.
One of the best color combinations ever!
my favorite as well, though i tend to take that light blue and push it towards peacock blue. :)
I love this pair, too! I chose it for my condo (and my flower arrangements, when possible).

While the styles of the furniture are traditional, check out how nice the red mats around the black and white prints look against that blue wall.
An idea just waiting to be swiped and modernized.
I love this color combo, especially after seeing all the great photos! There are so many ways to do it. :)
Nice combo, reminds me of some of the fire hydrants in T.O
This is one of my favorite color combos.
I just painted my entryway a beautifully icy pale blue this weekend (Ionic Sky by Behr) and purchased a nice, bright red rug. Instantly brightened the space, gave the illusion the area was larger, and classed up my vintage one bedroom rental!
I'm so excited to see this!
This is the color combo of our wedding. The invitations were backed with light blue stock, coupled with an illustration of 2 red birds. On the tables we're using light blue linens and little baskets of fresh Michigan strawberries at each setting.
Converse has a pair of shoes in this color
Does anyone have any ideas about decorating a patio in these colors? I just bought a new teak table, but other that that, my patio remains undecorated? Placemats, cushions, accents? Any ideas in this color combo?
