Red is one of those colors that looks great against almost any neutral, but it gets an extra kick from cool grays. We especially love seeing the way the two colors balance one another when the red is a little bit firey and the gray has blue undertones. For a few examples of different reds and grays, we've rounded up everything from red-oranges to deep brick tones to purplish reds...

Red and grey are very beautiful together.
grey is the new white.
perfect timing!
I own a beautiful red sofa and am in the middle of painting my apartment. For the wall behind my sofa I chose a soft cool grey, and they look great together!
i got so excited when i saw that perfect calendar. that is until i did some investigating and found out it's $265. thanks, but no thanks :<
Yikes! $265 for a calendar? That is ridiculous...unless it's made of gold!
Didn't include gray in my Color Notes: A Red-time Story post, (drats!), but love the combo! I've got red with... turquoise, tan, lavender, pale gold and pale green.
