When I was planning my wedding earlier this year, oddly enough the first thing I picked out were some gray striped paper straws. Then the bridesmaids' dresses were teal, and I wanted soft pink peonies. For me, these three colors are a design trifecta.
I've mentioned my love of teal before, and also how a little bit of pink can go a long way. Add an interesting neutral — that'll be gray — and the result is smart and feminine.
The artwork in the image shown above has the softness and depth I enjoy about this color combination. I can also picture that couch in front of deep teal walls (I've tried and liked Behr's "Rain Storm") or a barely-there pink.

Shaw's Original Fir...
It's a great combination, but the photo selected is so overexposed it's hard to really see the colors.
More teal would be nice. Seems a bit bland.
I refuse to believe teal is back from the early 90's - just say no people!
'90s? How about '80s? But like anyything, whether colors, styles, etc., they can be freshened up to look good today. I'm always open to a surprise twist on an old theme.
Are you mixing up teal and aqua?
