Q: I want to decorate this room nicely but I'm not sure about my color combinations. I have a beautiful black and white rug that I'd love to use and a brown or beige couch/chair. Anyone have any wall art ideas? Can I add another more interesting color to the mix? I also have a beautiful large mirror i can probably put on that smaller wall space.

Kind of like this room? http://issuu.com/societysocial/docs/magalog-part2/43#share
Any color would work with black, white, and beige. Find some art that speaks to you and pull your color inspiration from that.
I'm a big fan of adding jewel tones whenever and wherever I can. They look fresh and work in every season. Try some emerald greens, golden yellows, and plum purple. ps - love the windows!
I love this space. The bay window and stair have great character. Add bright fun colors to accent your neutrals. In my place, I use paprika red and bright yellows to punch the space.

I agree with the others about the beauty of the space. I also love a bright turquoise or peacock blue (ala the tarp on the floor there) with neutrals and especially against some black.
Yellow!
Here's an example of something similar - brown couch with gray & white rug, neutral walls and yellow chairs:

I'm a big fan of neutral furniture and bright colored walls. So if you can paint that's what I would do. I love to do this because when I want to change a room up it only costs a can of paint and everything else still basically matches. So pick a bold color you like and go from there. Since you're wanting to mix black and white and browns, maybe try mustard yellow. That was basically the look of my last living room and I loved it.
That window is beautiful! I am not sure if this would work with your style but I am thinking a gallery wall or tribally red/ orange elements would look nice with that wall color, moroccan inspired? Mirrors are great, and antique mirror candle sconces. I also see a potted palm tree like plant looking great in that space!
