We've been obsessed with Robin's Egg Blue ever since we saw this cheerfully painted dresser (below right) in our friend Clara's bedroom. Robin's Egg Blue is one of those colors, that as an accent goes with any color scheme. It's great to perk up those winter blahs, and as a reminder that spring is just around the corner — we hope! We've rounded up some more robins egg and teal blue photos after the jump...
Robin's egg blue is one of those colors thats not exactly defined. To us, and in the Crayola box, its its a blue with a bit of green in it (according to Crayola, there's an equal amount of both). This time of year especially, it reflects a bit of nature inside, while there's still so much gray outside.
We've always loved the lighter shades, but this winter we're really drawn to the deeper, more saturated hues like Clara's dresser (which she painted in Finer Paints of Europe 176-AR17).

Got this at the Company C floor model sale last winter for cheap money... because no one wanted to buy the robin's egg blue furniture. Yippee!
(Can I confess that I don't let my dog up on the couch, mostly? Because I don't want his fur messing with the robin's egg bluity? I have gray shed-fur-colored blankets that he gets to sit on instead.)

My favorite color! We painted a china cabinet this color, with red handles. I love it.
I love Tiffany's BLUE! What a lovely color! From Presents to Bathroom paint, I can always dig the refreshing feeling this color gives me!

I was just looking at Behr paint chips this week for this color. One that looks close is Mint Majesty. Another is Sweet Rhapsody.

I just wrote a DIY on painting hardwood floors for bathroom duty... I painted the floor a high gloss Behr color called Shallow Sea. It is really pretty and gives a huge pop to the otherwise white and gray room.

Cilantro by Pratt and Lambert is lovely. It gets brighter as they day progresses and then softens as dusk nears.

To get the color I took the paper I lined the drawers with (and the side of the desk) and had them match the paint color at the hardware store. So if you wanted a tiffany blue color you could grab a tiffany's bag and have them match the color.

Yum -- my favorite color family -- add in peacock, sapphire, teal, etc... especially in metallic versions... sigh!
I recently painted my dining table with Benjamin Moore Kensington Green, pretty similair to some of these shades
The queen of Shabby Chic, Rachel Ashwell -- you will see in her books that this is one of her signature colors. It really does fit in just anywhere. Look at the photo of what appears to be a nightstand painted this color and placed against a mustard-colored wall. Perfect.

There is an article about it in "House Beautiful" latest issue (March), it may be helpful.
I painted a chair for my white desk this color when I moved into my current apartment. I love it with the reds too. The bright reds and yellows kind of make a funky Marie Antoinette like setting when you use the right patterns.
and I just wanted to point out, Tiffany's owns that exact shade of blue, really they do. and although we are allowed to be close, no one outside of the company can use Tiffany Blue.
It's by far my favorite color! I actually found a robin's egg in my garden last week and ended up matching it to my Benjamin Moore paint swatches. I found that the closest matches were Antiguan Sky 2040-60 for the deeper tone and Spring Mint 2040-70 for the lighter tone. I have a photo on my blog of the swatches if it helps to see a photo.

My family's company actually provides the paper/gift boxes to Tiffany's. I have a huge roll of the paper and am thinking about using it in the back's of my glass cabinets!
Also, I just painted our new attic play space, second floor kids landing area and down the stairs into the kitchen/dining great room walls Ben Moore Bird's Egg. I look at the color all day and am IN LOVE with it!!! Now am working on pulling it all together with dining room, cabinetry, and pantry.....
