Picking a color palette for your home can be overwhelming but there are a few sites that can help you do the work. One of our faves, Adobe Kuler.
All you do is upload a photo of from your mood board or anything that inspires you the site. Pick from five palette options - colorful, bright, muted, dark, light - and a row of five coordinating color boxes will appear. The site will point out with small circles where in your image the colors were pulled from so you can start to understand a bit about how color coordinating can work. Also, you can move any of the five selected circles to introduce another color.
In Allison and Paul's kitchen (photo above), we were inspired by the little pops of turquoise, Pantone's color of 2010 and picked in September as a new trend at the Ahead of the Curve panel. We wanted to create a color palette around the blue and love the muted tones that complement the pops of color. Click right here to enjoy Adobe Kuler for your own images.

What an awesome kitchen! Thanks- I missed it the first time around!
I love the windows over the kitchen cabinets. I've always wondered why builders don't do that instead of leaving that blank wall over cabinets that don't go to the ceiling. Money I'm sure, but it's a great way to utilize that space and get more light into the kitchen.
