Color & Pattern at the Seaside Hotel in Spain

I've always had a thing for zig zag rugs, so the Spanish Seaside Hotel Palm Beach in Gran Canaria speaks to me. Designed by French architect Alberto Pinto, the décor mixes 1970s-style pattern with high-key contemporary color.

The color palette takes its cues from the views oustide — blue waters, golden beaches, and leafy green palm trees. Pinto oversaw the renovation and redesign of the building, which was updated with a modernist palette of marble, wood, glass, and stone. ... which seems directly inspired by the work of psychedelic designer Vernor Panton.
