I think it is nice if you can manage to pull that color off.
This color is okay in small doses, like the table in picture 9. In others, it's a bit intense.
Blagh. If it were ACTUALLY a grayish greenish beachy shade I'd be in, but the pictures here are way too candy-coated minty 50s kitchen/60s eyeshadow/90s sweater for me/wintergreen Tic Tac for my taste.
Always makes me think of Martha.
I find the kitchen in the first image charming. The bedroom in the last photo is pretty, classic and restful. It's just one of those love it or hate it colors, I think.
Yes, when I see this color, a single word occurs to me: Minty.
Minty like the centers of Andes Mints. Do not like. (Actually, Andes Mints aren't bad. I don't like this color on walls, though.)
seafoam would be nice paired with pink in a baby girl's room
It's so TOTALLY Martha.
All I can think of is those chocolate mint meltaways made by Fannie May.
Mmmmmm, minty!
On my computer these examples look more like mint green rather than a true seafoam. I like the cabinet in #9, but it is not what I would consider a seafoam shade. The bedroom is classic and restful--all one needs is an ocean breeze and the sounds of the sea to lull one to sleep.
I just bought a seafoam green shirt a week ago...bright yellow and seafoam are THE colors of summer 2012
I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that I've lived long enough already to see seafoam green come back into style.. felt the same way about the recent peach-inspired posts! : ) Maybe it's just denial, but for some reason I can't bring myself to get into it. Nice pictures, though.
Anyone have a clue as to where the bed in the seventh "Matchbook" picture is from?
I love it. Grew up on the beach and will never leave the beach, but this color always reminds me of collecting seaglass as a child and for that sweet memory alone it will forever be one of my favorites.
I love it!
It looks clean and fresh, put one of those Vespa scooter outside in seafoam green!
Cute. This and the pastel yellow are the ONLY pastel colors I can get behind!
Love, love, LOVE that kitchen!
My Grandmother loved her pastels. I do too, but only when I visited her back in the Islands. I think in an Urban environment maybe one or two pieces of furniture. For me, definitely a 'vacation' color. But I love that kitchen!
I love it also in small doses, or of very old fashioned/intricate settings, but most of all as a super happy friendly kitsch colour. I would love a room with minty green walls and dark chocolate coloured wood door/windowframes +mouldings
On modern or minimal scenes it gives me the skeevies as 'hospital green' though
Seafoam is, imo, a color that should be used in small quantities or a highlight with other greens. And, it probably is best used when you are within walking distance of some actual seafoam.
This is the color I hate most in the world. Leave it to the actual sea foam.
We inherited a seafoam green 50s-era tile bathroom. We painted the walls a dark gray and it actually makes the room work! There are WAY worse tile colors we could have gotten.

Love the kitchen! My grandmother and all her friends & relatives had their farm kitchens painted this color or a similar shade. Still can't figure it out, but I still love the fresh color in the kitchen along with the smell of bread baking!
