There are a lot of theories about how color in the home affects us. There are debates about warm tones versus cool tones or which colors are stimulating and which are relaxing. The bedroom is an area where this becomes particularly important.
You want bedroom colors to encourage rest and relaxation while at the same time reflect your personality. After all, the bedroom is arguably the most personal room of the house.
Choosing to work in pale, muted versions of your favorite colors allows you to create a peaceful zone, without limiting yourself to shades of blue. Pastels are united by shade and tone so you can create a cohesive, unified, and peaceful feeling without sticking to a strict color scheme.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Choosing colors for bedrooms and baths that flatter skin tones also would be good. I read that aqua and some pinks and oranges flatter varied skin tones. Greens and yellows, not so much. Purples, no idea.
I think it's interesting that the majority of the bedding (at least in these photos) is white, as that adds a calming element as well.
I really like #3 with the natural elements, sunlight, and white. My bed is all white also, and it is very calming.
The first picture with the bed that has the pink blanket along the bottom: Does anybody know what brand and color paint that is on the walls? My husband and I are hoping to paint our bedroom in that same shade, and we cannot figure out what it is. Thank you in advance!
