Color-Coordinated Surround Sound Speakers

Color-Coordinated Surround Sound Speakers

Not only do we love the implementation of a floating media center to raise home theater equipment away from the ground and keeping wires away from prying eyes, we're also loving the idea of setting aside a pair of colored speakers to subtly differentiate between the front and surround elements.

Additionally, we love the (what looks to be) a custom built entertainment console; two pieces of oak, connected together with another piece of oak, makes for the perfectly sized shelf for a digital tuner box and a set of speakers. Meanwhile, the top shelf can be left open for personal item and decorations, further personalizing the space.

Pictured are the infamous Scandyna Minipod Speakers ($500) which come in so many colors we've actually lost count (they're coming out with new finishes each day).

We're personally not all-too-crazy about the idea of surround speakers in a small space, but this might just work! What do you guys think?
