We're on a color kick right now, searching for ways to brighten up our home and stave off the winter blues. One of the cheapest, simplest ways to add color involves using what you already own.
The homes above all have bright, retro dishware collections that they've pulled out of the cupboards and put on display. Walls, shelves, and windowsills have all been repurposed as colorful exhibits. To see the full tour of each home, click through the links below.

White Enamel Four-P...
That first picture is right up my alley!
oooh nice shelves..any idea where to purchase?
i love all of the different colors and patterns, why just pick one? that's boring
i wish my dishware looked like that!
I love Cathrineholm. They are all great collections!
Gorgeous, all of them! Oh, to have places for collections in my kitchen (aside from the purely practical things)...
I have lots of vintage plates and bowls, but they're scattered around the house, as my kitchen is mostly lacking in space.
Sabjimata most of what's shown is vintage and can be found at yard sales, flea markets and on etsy/ebay. Fiestaware is still being made as well as Waechtersbach and Homedecoratorscollection.com has some Fiestaware in their online outlet and there's a decent selection of Waechtersbach on Overstock.com right now. Crate and Barrel usually has plenty of colorful items for the kitchen as well.
Personally I have a huge collection of vintage Dansk Kobenstyle in Turquoise, Apple Green and White. I use my collection for serving (that's how I justify having a collection!) I have a great Nurmesniemi stock pot in red that I picked up for next to nothing that I'm trying to find a practical use for as I won't cook in my vintage enamelware.
fwiw: my wife has a few catherine holm pieces (and had a good number of dansk pieces) in her etsy shop: http://www.modapple.net
i am dreaming of having a vintagy collection of colorful pottery and ceramics! one day.... one day....
ChanteuseAR--thanks, but i was talking about the actual shelf unit of the first pic ;)
found it...ikea of course! :)
