I can never get enough of color, so of course I fell in love with this apartment in Madrid. It's full of beautiful modern pieces, with just enough color to keep things interesting (very interesting) but not overwhelming.

I love how the extension of the glossy, pale-blue paint onto the ceilings in the dining room and bedroom provides a soothing backdrop for pops of yellow and little bits of other colors. The blue really holds everything together — it has its own subtle radiance but also lets other colors shine. The effect is one of timelessness — mod and midcentury shapes, with colors that feel very fresh.

Even the bathroom is bright and cheery, thanks to this beachy little chair. Art propped behind the sink livens things up, too — proof that even the humblest of rooms need not be overlooked.
