Name: Bea (5)
Location: Wichita, KS
Color Inspiration: In the summer of 2005 we painted our guest room blue. And then we found out we were expecting our 2nd child. So I decided - no matter if it was a girl or boy - we were keeping the room blue. Instead, I chose to make an accent wall of colorful, gender-neutral, patterned & textured papers. I stapled decorative papers around pieces of foam core that were lined with quilt batting, and attached them to the wall with 3M Command Removable Fasteners. The wall looks like a giant block of quilt squares. And five years later... our daughter, Bea, still loves her colorful, cozy surroundings.
Tip for Using Color: Pick a dominant base color, and add three to five accent colors for fabrics & accessories.
Colors Used: Blues, light greens, light oranges, dark browns and white.
Thanks for your colorful entry Sandra and good luck!

Very creative and simple. Did you make the bed?
Yes, my husband made the bed and the tree bookcase.
Wow! I love the tree bookcase.
What's that cool changing table? I am looking for something to help baby from rolling :)
The bed and bookcase are amazing! Talented hubby.
Beautiful colours! I also love that bed and the bookcase! Could you please tell us about the print above the bed - love it!!
Thanks! My husband is a very talented woodworker. (He's made every piece of furniture in our house.) The print above the bed is an old cardboard store display from Baby Gap. I asked them if they would save it for me when they changed out their display one summer, and they did. Sometimes stores will, and sometimes they won't. But it never hurts to ask!
That bookcase is amazing. I have a serious case of nursery envy.
That tree bookcase is amazing!
